The Nevada Tobacco Users' Helpline™ treats adults 18+ and adolescents 14 - 17 years old. Each adolescent is asked to first contact the American Lung Association's teen smoking cessation program, N.O.T. (No On Tobacco), to determine if N.O.T. meets his/her individual needs before becoming a Helpline client.

Additionally, the Helpline's Counselors are trained to treat people who have medical histories involving cardiac, respiratory, pulmonary, diabetes, as well as, perinatal women, and/or people diagnosed with other co-morbidities . A co-morbidity is defined as the "state of having two or more disease related conditions, physical and/or mental in nature".
