Zyban is the other type of medication frequently used for managing withdrawal symptoms. Zyban is the same drug as Bupropion SR. Researchers believe Zyban works by changing the chemical levels of Dopamine and Noradrenaline in the brain. Zyban is only available with a doctor's prescription, and should not be used if a person has a history of epileptic seizure(s) and/or an eating disorder.
